DIY Exfoliating Scrub

Say good-bye to dry skin!

Hey guys, ok so my skin is so dry and even though it’s really warm outside, my skin still becomes so dry. So, I of course need to exfoliate and get rid of the dead skin. Good exfoliators and be quite expensive to buy sometimes, especially for people with sensitive skin, so I though I would show you my DIY scrub to exfoliate your way to healthy looking skin.

This is my DIY Sugar and Olive Oil scrub!

The sugar helps to get rid of dead skin cells and dirt on your skin, while the olive oil is a natural moisturizer for your skin, leaving a super soft and hydrated feeling.

All you need is:
1) 3 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2) 2 Tablespoons Organic Honey (does not have to be organic, regular honey is perfectly fine too)
3) ½ Cup Organic Sugar (regular sugar is fine too, but don’t use Splenda.)
4) a cup and spoon

Brown-Sugar-Scrub   The mixture should look something like this.

Add all the ingredients into your cup or bowl and mix well. You can add more sugar, honey or olive oil, if you feel you need it. The measurements are just guidelines.

Now you just need to apply. Wash your face first and then taking a small amount work it into your skin with circular motions. Do this on you entire face and then rinse off and pat dry. Voila!

This is also great for the rest of your body, if you have dry skin!

Enjoy and Good Luck. xox

Think Pink

I adore pink nail polish, all year….. It can be worn subtly or as a statement, so I thought I would share some of my favourite pink nail polishes.

large-1 My first favourite pink nail polish is by Essie

“guchi muchi puchi”.

It is so pretty and I love it. Just one coat will give a nice sheer pink finish, still showing your natural nail, however two shades will give the most beautiful opaque finish, with a hint of mauve in it. Perfect.

large The next pink nail polish that I love is by H&M, in the colour “Pink Macaroni”. This nail polish is surprisingly opaque after the first application. The more you apply, the more vibrant the pink will become.

img_3336 The last pink nail polish that I absolutely adore is this one by Dior. Its a bit on the pricey side but totally worth it. I wasn’t  able to find the name of this, as there was no name on the bottle. (I must have scrapped it of or something??? ) However, These two are similar and really pretty….

DIY COLOURFUL SNEAKERS

Hey guys,

Right now Penneys (or Primark ) have these white sneakers for about 3 euro and they also have them in various colours. I’ve had my ones for a while, so they ended getting quite dirty. I saw tribal print ones in Topshop a while back, but they didn’t have them in my size. i was a bit upset as I really liked them. I was extremely excited when I saw this on Instagram the other day and just had to share it. It’s so easy to do and I immediately tried it out at home. You can draw on any print that you like. I did mine like the one in the picture above.

All you need is a pair of sneakers, preferably white and some fabric markers. You could use normal sharpie markers, but you will run the risk of having the colours bleed and fade. You could also use fabric paint for the design, but the consistency of that would be a lot thicker and take much longer to dry. But it is completely up to you. You can design them however you wish to create your own unique and funky sneakers.

For the print above, it’s easiest to cut your desired design onto paper(such as zig-zags) and then just trace it. repeat with a different colour and keep this going. ( Look at the picture below )imgres

It also makes it easier if you take the shoelaces out before attempting your design, to ensure none of the colour goes on them. Unless you want them to be colourful.. 🙂 It’s all up to you…. So get creative and design your own shoes!!!!

Here are some other design ideas.

blogger-4412_large These shoes are not white, so not all colours will be opaque on it. With brown shoes, black is the best colour to go with, as it will be seen quite clearly. Here, the laces have also been cutified with a tribal design.

Enjoy and Good luck. xoxo

DIY Matte Nails

Mad About Matte

matte nails 2    matte nail

Matte nail polish is so gorgeous and I am totally in love with it right now. I always wanted my favourite nail polishes to be in matte too, so I could wear both finishes on my nail. Unfortunately, you could only buy the glossy ones so I had to make do with what I had. Then I found these simple ways to create your own, so I made my own, using my all time favourite colours. It’s so fast and easy to do….
There are two ways to create your very own matte nail polish

One uses steam, and the other uses cornstarch. So let’s get started!

Method 1) Steam

This way is so simple and easy. All you have to do is heat up some water, until it starts to boil, or just use boiled water from a kettle. Then pour the boiling water into a bowl and place on a flat surface. Apply your nail colour like you normally would and immediately place your fingertips over the steam face down, to allow the steam to go onto your nails. Now just wait for one minute. The steam will work its magic to create a matte finish to your nail polish. Voila! So easy and looks super cute. Don’t apply a top coat, as this will make your nail polish look shiny and glossy again…. 🙂

Method 2) Cornstarch

Cornstarch            mixing nail

Did you now that Corn starch is a secret ingredient for painters of all kinds. Pour a bit of your nail polish colour onto a piece of wax paper, foil, or plate and add just a bit of corn starch to the polish. Be careful to not add too much, just a small amount. Mix with a toothpick and then apply to your nails how you normally would! The finish will be flat and shine-free, very trendy, and you won’t have to buy an extra top coat or special polish.

This picture, as seen at the top shows a really trendy way to apply your new matte nail polish. Simply add a glossy coat to the top, or just the regular nail polish to create this look. It’s almost like a matte french manicure. 🙂 There are just so many ways to style matte nails………

Enjoy and Good luck. xoxo

I just love floral patterns, polka dots and pastel colours, especially during the summer, where you can just wear and buy the cutest dresses ever! I have been so in love with Ariana’s style and tried to find where she got them. The dress she wore on the Ellen Show is by far one of my favourites, but as it is a Dolce & Gabanna dress (shown above), which was priced at $627.00 during the sale, I tried to find some cheaper options.

Ariana Grande, Nickelodeon starlet, has such an amazing sense of style, totally cute and girly and now, totally stealable. Tehe 🙂 Her clothes are just so adorable

She wears quite a lot of florals and polka dots (like myself) , always looking so cute. I love her style so much and thought I would show you ways to steal her style, which btw is really affordable. So here we go….
